Saturday 17 August
Hillhurst Neighbourhood - 9am - 2 Hours
William Chornobrywy
Join this session for tips on how to use your camera settings to creatively capture nature in a visually interesting way. We will be looking at composition, focus, and colour.

Many professional offices and places of business have large prints gracing their wall space of things such as fields of flowers, a butterfly perched on a leaf, and a single dew drop on a rose petal. These beautiful images are all around us in nature. It just takes that special "eye" to not only see it but to capture it in a way that will turn that simple little piece of nature into a beautiful piece of art. We will learn how to use different angles, light and shadows, and settings to make subjects pop.

Overall, the street photography class was a thoroughly enjoyable and informative experience. The small group size, knowledgeable instructor, and hands-on approach made it a worthwhile investment. I would recommend this class to anyone interested in exploring the exciting world of street photography.

    PHOTOGRAPHERS
    William Chornobrywy
Meet Will, a 21-year-old photographer who discovered his passion for capturing moments on camera at a young age. After completing high school, he decided to pursue his passion and enrolled in a photography school to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the industry. During his time there, Will developed a love for both creative and product photography and was able to refine his techniques under the guidance of experienced instructors.

Will quickly found a niche in product photography and discovered his talent for creating visually appealing images that showcase the unique features of each product. He learned how to play with lighting and angles to bring out the best in each product, making it stand out from the rest. In addition to product photography, Will also developed his skills in creative photography, experimenting with different concepts and styles to create visually stunning images that capture the essence of his subjects. With his education and passion for photography, Will is ready to take on the world of photography and make a name for himself in the industry.

i was taken by the patch work of green in the foot of the mountains. i was concerned about the lack of interest/clouds in the sky that day, so i cropped most of it out using a 2.14 crop and relied heavily on the road as a leading line for the composition.

I've always been fascinated with the faces of wildlife, and the gray wolf is no exception. As its wonderful to have the animal in full view, there's something special with a close shot of the face and those eyes that seem to be speaking to me. On January 27, 2024 I took this photo of the Common Merganser, female when she was going to fly off the lagoon when she changed her mind and decided to make sure her girlfriend was safe while she rested/slept on the ice near the water in the this photo. I love how they protect everyone close to them from predators or danger. This chic was a great model for me as she swam in a couple of circles, did a couple of dives into the water to fish, unsuccessfully, then went on the ice besides her girlf

Certainly, here's a more straightforward description focusing on the evening and the scene:Taken from the Centre Street Bridge at dusk, this photograph captures the serene beauty of Calgary's skyline as the sun dips below the horizon. After a day spent exploring potential new homes in the city, I ventured out to witness the transition from day to night. The day before taking the shot, I drove up to RMNP to scout a possible Milky Way shot with Nymph Lake in the foreground. The scouting was successful as it did look like I'd be able to have both the lake and the Milky Way in the shot, so I made a plan to head up there again the next day (July 3rd) and capture what I planned. Prior to heading back up to RMNP, while looking at the map of the area, I noticed another possible location where Fall River would be in the foreground and in my mind, having
